Terms of Service
Welcome to Oxcel, operated by OXAI LTD (trading as "Oxcel", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using oxcel.xyz (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Description of the Service
Oxcel is an educational software platform that provides ESAT and TMUA-style practice questions, worked solutions, hints, interactive whiteboards, and chatbot assistance. The Service is intended as a study aid only and does not guarantee academic outcomes, admissions decisions, examination performance, or educational success.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, providing accurate information, and all activity occurring under your account.
4. Subscription and Billing
We offer two subscription tiers:
- Basic — £20/month: Access to all past papers (NSAA, TMUA, ENGAA, ESAT), full worked solutions, tutor, whiteboard, quick-fire and timed modes, PDF export, and performance analytics. Includes a 200,000 token generation budget per rolling 24-hour window.
- Elite — £60/month: Everything in Basic, plus unlimited question generation on any topic and a 2,000,000 token generation budget per rolling 24-hour window.
- A 7-day free trial is available on both plans. No charge is made until the trial ends.
- Subscriptions are billed at the prices displayed at time of purchase and automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.
- You may upgrade or downgrade between plans at any time via your account settings. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
- Cancellation prevents future billing but does not provide a refund for the current period.
5. Fair Use and Usage Limits
Each subscription includes a token generation budget that resets every 24 hours:
- Basic: 200,000 tokens per rolling 24-hour window.
- Elite: 2,000,000 tokens per rolling 24-hour window.
These limits are designed to prevent automated abuse and will not affect normal study use. If you reach your limit, generation features (question generation, hints, tutor, and worked solutions) will be temporarily unavailable until the window resets. The limit resets automatically — no action is required.
We reserve the right to adjust fair-use limits with reasonable notice. Accounts that systematically circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits may be suspended under Section 10.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer the Service.
- Attempt to access other users' data.
- Use automated systems to abuse or overload the platform.
- Share account credentials with others.
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
- Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit content generated by the Service without permission.
7. Generated Content
Generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for independently verifying all outputs before relying on them.
8. Educational Disclaimer
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any examination board, university, admissions authority, or educational institution unless explicitly stated.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, branding, design elements, and platform functionality remain the property of OXAI LTD. Users retain ownership of content they upload. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process and store that content for the purpose of providing the Service.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the security, integrity, or operation of the Service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OXAI LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us during the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
12. Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
